I'm back, sorry for that. Summer has just gotten me caught up in all the fun and I totally forgot about my blog! So I picked up the newest issue of Seventeen a couple days ago, and it is chock full of must read articles. Since summer is wrapping up and fall is just a couple months away, jeans are back into wearing after the unbearable heat. So let's get started with the contents!
- Back to School Shopping -
I found this section interesting because of the vintage-y look that the pieces had. I really like the blue sweater from Tilly's, too :T On the next page, you will find different outfits that used all of these items, though I found none of them cute (maybe it's just me?). You can also go to seventeen.com/fashionhaul to check out other cool looks.
- Stressed Out Skin Cleanup -
Ever felt so stressed out, your skin showed it? Stress pimples are easy to get rid of, but only if you know how to do it the correct way. This section will show you how to do just that. If you don't have much time to spend on your makeup, then try going for: Kate Somerville Clinic-to-Go Resurfacing Peel Pads ($48 for pack of 16, Sephora stores), Clearasil Ultra Acne + Marks Spot Lotion ($9, drugstores), or Olay Professional Pro-X Advanced Cleansing System ($30, drugstores). There are also tips for a better complexion at the bottom.
- Runway & 17 Way -
High-end looks don't have to be out of reach! Seventeen has inspired looks from the runway, that you can strut down the hallway in. Runways included are Burberry Prorsum, Proenza Schouler, DKNY, Isabel Marant, D&G, Marc by Marc Jacobs, and Chanel. Some of the clothes here are ultra cute for school, but some just are like...bam.
- First Week Glam -
I like how these looks aren't too "showy" for school, but are still appropriate for daytime. I definitely want to try the look for Friday, which includes olive liquid eyeliner just a little above your crease. It looks super chic yet not too bold. I also love the frosty lips look for Saturday. I definitely will be trying these looks. *Comment below on which is your favorite/what you want to try :)
- Emma Watson Interview -
Harry Potter may be over (I didn't see it!) but Emma has her whole life ahead of her. Designing a little clothing collection for Alberta Ferretti, having a great skill in decorating, being on the set of Harry Potter since she was 10. She is the new face of Lancome as well. I liked her outfits in the pictures because it looks like she's not trying so hard to look all sexy like some other celebrities do. She looks very conservative. I didn't know that we thought one in the same about having your heart broken. I thought that I'd never find a guy like him ever again, and she thinks so too. I really liked the interview and look forward to seeing her on the cover again someday!
Where did I buy it? Borders, $2.99
