Seventeen Magazine February 2011 - Leighton Meester

I was surprised to see Leighton Meester on the cover. Since Gossip Girl is my all time favorite show, and Blair Waldorf is one of my style inspirations, I absolutely had to read. Let's take a look at the contents on the inside of the Seventeen Feruary 2011 issue! 

- Beauty is the Key - 

This issue is focused mainly on the beauty aspect. This is my favorite part of any magazine, anything having to do with makeup and beauty. You can find in the Beauty section, pages 36 to 42 some amazing ideas for a makeup routine. My personal favorite is the "Earthy Luxe" look (you can look in my Lookbook for my idea of this!) It's neutral without going overboard like the "Ultra Glamazon". On page 42, two different girls create two completely different looks using the same palette (Stila and E! Live from the Red Carpet Beauty Palette in Breathtaking Beauty, $25 at ULTA stores). You should really check this out if you are a beauty lover like me.

- Bebe: Love Her Style - 

A new thing to add onto my faves list? "Love Her Style" section! This month's was Bebe, who can be found right here at ftbh.blogspot.com! I like how she mimicks Twiggy (her beauty icon) by drawing on bottom lashes and using tons of Great Lash mascara. You should check her blog out sometime!

- DIY Projects: Runway Inspired -

OMG! I was so surprised when I saw DIY. Since that's a new hobby of mine, I was absolutely mesmerized. You don't have to hunt down the exact store or inspiration that made these items, you can just make 'em yourself! And they look totally identical.

Take note of the dark blue rope necklace! That's the necklace you can DIY!

- Leighton Meester Interview - 

I used to watch Gossip Girl all the time, but since school's gotten in the way of everything once again, I haven't watched it since November of last year. However, that didn't stop me from reading the actress who plays Blair Waldorf's interview! We share the same frustrations, love advice, and much more. Her fashion sense is amazing, and the clothes she wears in the photos are gorgeous. We also have both learned the same from past relationships, that if it's true love than it's easy, if not, it's really hard in and out of the relationship.
